"JALINAN JIWA" by FITO ADIJAYA
Captured by Fito Adijaya, Jalinan Jiwa denotes one of Indonesian strongest characteristic, Intergenerational Transfer. An intergenerational transfer is a transmission of something from a member of a group to another member. Often, this refers to a transfer across generations of kin, from a grandparent to a grandchild, a mother to her children, and between siblings. Patterns of intergenerational transfers in traditional societies may play a key role in triggering the onset of good values of instilled in the young ones. Indonesian society known for teaching young people to look out for one another especially the younger siblings. They always tell the kids to take responsibilities in caring and protecting the younger siblings. Indonesia is a country which champions values such as filial piety and a strong sense of belonging to families. Jalinan Jiwa is inspired by the ways Indonesians cultivate strong family ties. One of which is captured in this video, a sister transferring value through heirloom represented with B-yo. Jalinan also highlights how b-yo product amazingly captures the aesthetic of braided materials. Fito sees how connected parts of each details bears a resemblance with number 8, and wishing fortune for everyone carrying the only number written without any bound.

HUMAN8TURE tells us a story of a young woman who talks about how society sees and judge other human but in this case, this woman, and how she explains that it's just human nature to judge people, yet it's also a human nature to be proud of ourselves.
"CICADA" by ADI PUTRA
The short is a mood piece, with no particular straightforward narrative. We see a girl staring intently facing a raging gulf of fire. Fire is often used to symbolize destruction, trauma, pain, and anger. In the end, the girl decided to conquer the overwhelming emotion by ultimately becoming one with the fire, in order to find balance and harmony within herself. In various culture, not only number 8 is used as the symbol of inner peace and harmony, but it is also a symbol of the infinite, an endless cycle of life, very much so like the mystical element of fire, the symbol of creation and destruction, a continuous cycle that is the essential foundation of life itself.
REPETISI by RAHADYAN AMANDITA
“Repetisi” menceritakan peralihan dari makeup artist lawas ke dunia makeup artist modern. Unsur angka 8 dalam film ini merupakan cerminan dari simbol yin & yang dan saling berhubungan, ada baik dan buruk disetiap peralihan jaman. Seperti contohnya untuk muka rata adalah simbol bagi makeup artist lawas yang tidak mengikuti jaman atau tergerus oleh jaman. Selain itu, dalam fashion film ini juga terdapat simbol angka 8 yang ditampilkan pada gambar lukisan sebelah cermin film itu berupa gambar kartu tarot angka 8, yang menyimbolkan kekuatan.
